One of Richmond’s most “lit” traditions is celebrating 10 years of tacky! The CarMax Tacky Light Run through Sportsbackers will be on Saturday, December 10th, 2022. This 6k run takes participants through Midlothian, specificially the Walton Park neighborhood, including one of RVA’s most popular streets for holiday lights, Dawnridge Ct. This is a family-friendly event. Walkers, runners, strollers are all welcome!
Registration
Register prior to November 17th to save on registration.The cost is $35/adults, $20/youth ages 4-14. {Minimum age to participate is 4 years old.} NOTE: Sportsbackers offers income-based rates for those who make $25,000 or less annually or receive proven TANF, Food Stamp or Energy Assistance Benefits from Social Services and are not currently claimed as a dependent by anyone making above $25,000 annually.
If running with a group, take advantage of Party Pricing, which is for groups of 4 or more. You’ll receive a discount of $3.50/person.
Registration includes: Santa Tracker (bib), admission to the North Pole, Ornament Finisher Medal, t-shirt OR beanie, photo ops, and Wegman’s candy cane WOs. Other amenities are: a snowman cookie along the course, and admission to the post-race party at The North Pole.

Schedule
The pre-event festival begins at 4:00PM at the North Pole (Mid-Lothian Mines Park). The North Pole Express (shuttle) available to take participants to the starting line.
The run begins at 6:00PM, and the North Pole post-event party begins at 6:30 PM. The North Pole will close at 9PM.
