This year for Mardi Gras, Tuesday, February 21, 2023, we may not party like normal or get to New Orleans. But there are plenty of ways to mark the celebrations. Mardi Gras, or Fat Tuesday, refers to events of the Carnival celebration, beginning on or after the Christian feasts of the Epiphany and culminating on the day before Ash Wednesday, which is known as Shrove Tuesday.
One thing you can do for no cost at all is listen in to WWOZ 90.7 FM New Orleans community public radio station streaming great music all day and enjoy this video of houses from last year decorated like the floats that usually parade through New Orleans for the holiday.
