At amusement parks, costs can add up quickly – tickets, parking, keepsake photos, souvenirs, and one of the largest expenses: food! At Kings Dominion, there are ways to save on dining, but it does take some planning to do so.
How to Save on Dining at Kings Dominion
Consider how many times you will visit the park. If you will go more than twice in a year, the annual pass is likely your best bet. From this, you can add on a meal and/or drink plan.
With the dining plan, there are specific restaurants included, check out the list of applicable restaurants before your visit. Victoria’s Pizza is a newly renovated restaurant at the park. Not only is it beautiful, the dining plan offers 1 massive slice of pizza plus 2 bread sticks, guaranteed to keep you satiated for hours!
If you will only visit the park once or twice, a single meal deal for that day may be best. Be sure to consider the number in your party – should you purchase for everyone? How long you plan to stay at the park is another important factor.
It’s also important to know that you could keep food in the car and either go out to the parking lot to eat it or eat in one of the three picnic areas in the guest parking lot.
Lastly, the portions are quite large, so for some families, particularly those with young children, you may find that you don’t need a meal plan for everyone in your party. For my family of 2 adults/2 children, we often share meals.
