Home Depot Kid’s Workshop: Review
Kids LOVE these classes and caregivers particularly love them during winter months, as a fun activity to fill the mornings until it warms up outside.
These classes are completely FREE, and they’re held the first Saturday of every month. Although you’ll register online, we’ve never been asked for our names or at check-in. (Not sure if that’s just at our locations, or everywhere, though, so register just to be safe.)
Each project takes us about 30-45 minutes. Kids age 8+ can do most of them on their own, with just a little support here and there. Younger children will need support throughout the project.
There’s always an option to paint their project, but you don’t have to. Keep in mind tha if you do paint, you end up with lots of time to kill walking around the store while the projects dry, so it’s just easier to let them use the stickers Home Depot gives them. Each child gets a Home Depot apron, and a pin for each class they attend.
Tip: Classes start at 9AM. It really starts filling up around 10 – lots of kids with hammers can be overwhelming so get there early.
