Compassion Animal Project to Donate 13,000+ Meals to Pets in Need During Summer Pop-Up Pet Food Pantry Event on June 8

More than 4,000 pounds of pet food will be available for pick up by individuals in need of assistance this summer at Holiday Barn Pet Resorts in Midlothian.

RICHMOND, VA — On Saturday, June 8, Compassion Animal Project, a Virginia-based animal welfare nonprofit, will provide more than 13,000 meals to pets through their pop-up pet food pantry pop-up. With more than 4,000 pounds of dog and cat food available for pickup, the pet food pantry is open to all individuals in need this summer.

The Pop-Up Pet Food Pantry pop up event is being hosted at Holiday Barn Pet Resorts‘ Midlothian facility, which is located at 614 Johnston Willis Drive, Richmond, VA 23236, from 9 – 11 a.m.

Holiday Barn Pet Resorts was founded in 1972 by former Henrico County music teacher, Emerson Hughes and his family. It began with him and his wife, Kathy’s passion for dogs and cats and the idea from their friend and veterinarian Bill Clark to start a boarding kennel on their farmland in Glen Allen, Virginia.
