2024 RFM Summer Camp Expo

Richmond Family Magazine (RFM) presents the 2024 RFM Summer Camp Expo, sponsored by Virginia Family Dentistry, Saturday, March 2, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., at the Dewey Gottwald Center at the Science Museum of Virginia, 2301 West Leigh Street, Richmond, Virginia, 23220, at the corner of Leigh Street and DMV Drive.

Over 40 day camps and sleepaway camps from across Greater Richmond area and beyond will provide area families with information and planning tools related to summer camps at this free family-friendly event.

“Parents love being able to meet so many camps in person and ask their questions face-to-face,” says RFM founder and publisher Margaret Thompson. “We created the Summer Camp Expo over ten years to bring camps from across the region together under one roof to make it easier for busy parents and caregivers. We love the wide range of exhibitors coming to this year’s Expo, from preschool camps to high school camps and everything in between, including music, STEM, swimming, cooking, art, and performing arts camps,” Thompson adds.

In addition to the exhibitor tables, there will be a variety of hands-on activities for the kids, a visit from Nutzy from the Richmond Flying Squirrels, plus the official NASCAR pace car from the Richmond Raceway to check out.

All Expo visitors will have an opportunity to receive passes for free admission to the Science Museum of Virginia for a future visit, plus, attendees can enter to win the ultimate door prize: a two-night stay at Love Ridge Mountain Lodges in the scenic Blue Ridge Mountains, valued at $900.

Expo visitors will have a chance to earn free passes to visit the Science Museum of Virginia with the RFM Summer Camp Expo passport. Just grab your passport from the welcome table when you arrive at the Expo on Saturday, March 2nd, and you’ll be on your way!

Enter to Win a Mountain Getaway!

One lucky Summer Camp Expo visitor will win a two-night stay at Love Ridge Mountain Lodging! Nestled in Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains at 2,800 feet and overlooking Love, Virginia, Love Ridge offers a unique location, bordering the Blue Ridge Parkway just past milepost 16, and is the perfect getaway for a restful weekend away or your hub for outdoor adventure.

Expo visitors can enter to win a free getaway to Love Ridge Mountain Lodging , where your family can explore the Blue Ridge Mountains and surrounding small towns, eateries, forests, and parks, and then return to your own mountain cabin. The getaway includes a two-night stay at Love Ridge for up to four people (some exclusions for holidays and weekends). Stay must be scheduled before 8/31/24. Retail value: $900.
