On the first Friday of the month the RVA First Fridays Art Walk the city’s Arts District stays open late and shines a light on dozens of artists at galleries and other venues in Downtown Richmond. Participating locations will be found east of Belvidere Street and west of 8th Street, and north and south in Historic Jackson Ward and Monroe Ward. During the event galleries, shops, restaurants, non-profits, and more open their doors in celebration of art and community.
FYI–Be sure to check the RVA First Fridays Facebook page for highlights before you go.
If you can’t find free street parking, you’ll find free parking on a first-come, first-served basis at Centenary United Methodist Church at 4th and East Grace Street and St. Paul’s Episcopal Church at 8th and East Grace Street. And you can park free at the Jefferson Hotel if you make any purchase at Lemaire restaurant and have your parking validated. To avoid the stress and cost of parking, consider taking the GRTC Pulse bus.
