Ski adventures are just a car-ride away from Richmond, Virginia. If you’re in the mood for some fun winter skiing, check out this list of ski resorts and mountains. You can visit here to check out the snow report in various locations and resorts. But also know that many resorts have snow making machines to better conditions no matter what Mother Nature has in store. Many also offer ski ticket and lodging discounts. Wintergreen is located just off the Blue Ridge Parkway on 11,000 acres of rolling hills and fun. Usually open daily 9am-9pm for lots of skiing, riding, and tubing. They have 13 trails for skiing and riding. Up to 10 open lanes for tubing. They also have the Ridgely’s Fun Park and Treehouse Kids Ski Programs.
