Celebrate Diwali with a visit to one of Richmond’s favorite Indian restaurants

Diwali, one of the most important festivals in India, commenced Thursday, with the main festivities due to take place on the days following.
Each year, Hindus, Sikhs and Jains across the world celebrate Diwali. The festival symbolizes new beginnings and the triumph of good over evil, and light over darkness. CNN reports festivities usually lasts for five days, and include gathering with family members, sharing tasty food, watching spectacular fireworks and visiting temples.

One way to experience Indian culture is to enjoy a meal at an Indian restaurant right here in Richmond. There are a wide range of restaurants with delicious and flavorful food representing the South Asian nation. Dishes found at Richmond’s favorite Indian establishments feature appetizers, street food, vegetarian and meat entrees, Naan bread, aromatic Basmati rice, flavorful drinks and sweet desserts.
