Many supermarkets are instating RESERVED SHOPPING HOURS FOR THOSE AT HIGHER RISK for COVID-19. It’s one of the many measures being taken including physical distancing visual guidance has been placed throughout stores, including at checkout and service counters. Many stores have also rearranged and removed product displays to create more space. Plexiglass guard installations at registers have been rolled out at many stores. But that’s not all. Many people are taking precautions by shopping with masks and gloves as per Center for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines.
Many stores are offering senior hours for seniors to safely shop for groceries and other items during times that are less crowded.

•Ellwood Thompson’s-senior hours start Monday, 4/20 7-8 a.m.
•Fresh Market 8-9 a.m. Evenings after 5:30 p.m. are quiet
•Kroger – Tuesdays, Wednesday, Thursday 7-8 a.m.
•Publix Tuesdays 7-8 a.m.; first responders-Thursday 7-8 p.m., Friday 7-8 a.m.
•Walmart Tuesday 6-7 a.m.
•Costco-seniors over 60 or with disabilities 8-9 Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday
Public health workers & first responders will be allowed to go move to the front of the line.
•Whole Foods – Customers who are 60 and older are invited to shop beginning one hour before the store opens to the general public under the store’s new adjusted hours.
