River City Magnolias perform water ballet Wednesday

Come see the River City Magnolias, Richmond’s water ballet/synchronized swimming team, perform at their Good Bye Summer performance at the Randolph Pool (1401 Grayland Ave., Richmond) on Wed., Aug. 25, at 7pm.

The show features TWO performances One by swimmers that have attended summer 2021 “Swim with the Magnolias” practices. The second by Richmond’s own River City Magnolias. Event is free and open to the public. Invite your friends and family. Rain date is Monday Aug 30, same time and place

If you are a decent adult swimmer who wants to put a little more style, music, movement and performance into your aquatic journey, then you may want to consider joining the River City Magnolias during their practice sessions during the year.

This group encourages all to participate no matter ability and say those who master the technique can swim with their signature strength and grace. Participants should be comfortable treading water for several minutes. You can stay up to date on the synchronized swimming group by following the River City Magnolias.

The River City Magnolias is an amateur water ballet club in Richmond that shares a nostalgia for the spirit of synchronized swimming of yesteryear while celebrating the current energy of the community. The group promote a joyful, healthy, and body-positive approach to fitness and encourage an environment of diversity, friendship, self-confidence, and perseverance. The River City Magnolias strives to give back to the community and to promote our vision of fitness, diverse beauty, and water safety.
