Finding affordable family fun can be tough, so RVA on the Cheap has simplified it for you! Check out the following upcoming events, which are all FREE! 

 

Touch a Truck

September 24, 2022 (10AM – 12PM) at Redeemer Lutheran Church

Bring your families and come see all of the trucks that will be visiting our campus! You don’t want to miss this!

Open House Movie Night

October 1, 2022 (5:30PM) at The Chesterfield Airport

Walt Disney’s “Planes” (PG) will be shown on a large movie screen with the airport’s runway and taxiway serving as the ultimate backdrop. In the event of rain, the movie will be moved inside.
The Chesterfield Fire and EMS, Police and Sheriff departments, Virginia Department of Aviation and Virginia State Police MedFlight 1 will have displays. Local aviation organizations will also have displays and activities for those who attend.
Local food trucks will be on site selling their offerings. These include Elite Treats & Eats, Hellenic Kouzina Greek Café, Kabamm Food Truck and Mister Softee. Free popcorn and water will also be available to attendees during the movie (while supplies last).
Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets to sit on.
From aviation lovers to plane enthusiasts to those who want to come out for a fun, family movie night, this unique event provides something for everyone!

Richmond’ annual Train Day is back with all the features it’s famous for! It s great time for the whole family. Or, as we like to say, kids of all ages! See you Saturday!!

Hardywood Oktoberfest

October 1, 2022 (12PM – 10PM) at Hardywood Park Craft Brewery

Dust off your lederhosen and grab a feather for your hat, Oktoberfest is here!
Expect a fun day with some of your favorite Hardywood Oktoberfest traditions including:
🇩🇪 Cask tapping to kick off the day
🇩🇪 Plenty of beer including Benny & The Fest & more!
🇩🇪 Brats from Tyler’s Big Fat Meat Truck (Autumn Olive Farms) + other festive German fare from local food trucks 1115 Mobile Kitchen + Curry in a Hurry + Jiji Frozen Custard
🇩🇪 Stein holding contest with Goochland Cares
🇩🇪 Polka tunes from the Sauerkrauts, plus music from Herb & Hanson + Seth Winters + Justin Trawick & The Common Good
Limited amounts of exclusive 2022 steins will be available for purchase.
This is a fun and free all day event. Spread out on the lawn in West Creek and enjoy Oktoberfest with us!
